Tropic Fruit Fun Food Ideas
Your kids will love this! What’s some fun without pineapples! While your can just cute and layer the pineapples over toast, boost the flavor by adding a spoon full of honey and a dash of cinnamon and toss in bananas for a delicious flavor. Layers: toast, nut butter, bananas. The crown of course are avocados! You can also switch it up and use kiwi. Have fun!
Nuts are one of our protein sources in our vegan and vegetarian household. Slice the banana straight down the middle and lay on the flat side. Coat with your favorite nut butter, we use honey and sesame seed butter. In a food processor we added 1/4 of each nut: cashews, sesame seeds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and almonds, along with about 5-8 dates to sweeten and hold the nuts together. Coat the bananas with the nut mixture The leaves are sweet potatoes, avocados, and mangoes.
A winner for all ages! Apple donuts! Cut the apples horizontal to get perfect circles, green apples have a great crunch! Use a a small bottle cap to form a hole in the middle, which also removes the core. Top with whipped cream (I used canned coconut cream and hand whipped it) and your favorite fruits. My toppings: strawberry and lemon zest, cashew butter with a chocolate drizzle, coconut shreds and granola. Get creative and have fun!
